Spring-a-ling-ling

Spring was amazingly beautiful this year in Boston. I think mostly because it was the longest winter of my life! We came back from Washington and all the blossoms were on the trees. I think I cried a few times out of pure joy. Here's some spring pics.

Our home in Boston.

Many days spent at the park. Taylor could swing the whole time.
Landon, however, doesn't take his swinging time quite as seriously.

Landon learned to ride his bike with out training wheels
while we were in Washington. He's pretty good now.
He only gets frustrated when he attempts
to "mountain" bike up grassy hills or on real trails
or when he tries to do pop-a-wheelies
and ends up face planting.

"Yeah, I'm totally awesome dude..."

Landon and Taylor's costumes for the 80's dance at church.

My friend Angi and I entered the dance competition. We scored
high and took home the gold. Angi definitely has skills. I, however, just
look hideous. Kind of like a muppet.

Taylor dancing the night away with "the boys."
(aka Erin and Landon)

Cutie Taylor, on a stroll with the mama while Landon
is doing face plants off his bike.

Taylor went to town on this apple. She and dad had a great time
seeing who could take the biggest bite.

We heart E-claw

We had such a good time visiting the ol' stompin' grounds of Enumclaw, WA. I tried hard to prepare the weather prior to our trip by visually picturing sun. Sometimes positive imagery doesn't work, I guess. Ten days of snow, sleet, hail, rain, and cold with a few sun breaks isn't really what I had in mind. Non-the-less, it was so great. We loved seeing family and friends. We wished we could've seen more of you. Here's some of our memories of the trip:

Family and friends (too many to mention)
Trampoline
Doggies
Biking without training wheels
Jumping in the hail
Girls pictures
Scott's amazing office
Manure smell
Taylor's first hair bow
Teriyaki
Children's Symphony
Volleyball games
Taylor throwing-up and diahrea the minute Erin takes off in the plane
Video games
Driving the Mazda and Hal "denting" it
Landon and Jonah wrestling
Evan Almighty
American Idol with the girls
Dunham
Just relaxing

I'm probably missing some things, but at least my brain remembered these. Here's some pics from the trip.

.

These were all taken the morning we arrived. We had pictures done of the 3 little cousin girls. Landon was the only boy, so he tried to keep himself busy. This much coloring is not typical of my son.

Landon's newest buddy.

Fun on the trampoline

Don't worry. Erin's head was ok.

Jumping over Erin

Then taking a break

Taylor gets a piece of the action

Are you guys giving Jonah muscle enhancers? Landon wasn't accustomed to his cousins wrestling techniques (REAL wrestling). At home, he's used to his dad just throwing him around, much like Jonah is doing here. Landon loved it!

At the Children's Symphony in Seattle

Taylor's two favorite things of the trip: Spot and Bo

One of my favorite things: Taylor's first hair bow (thanks Erin)

I love April

April is one of my favorite months. Basically because I can go outside without 20 layers of clothes, mittens, hats, handwarmers, earwarmers, scarves, boots, wool socks and wool underwear. Just kidding about the underwear. That'd be a little itchy in all the wrong spots-especially with 20 layers on. Well, our spring started with the first annual spring clean tournament. Team Palmer against....team Palmer. We're quite competitive you know. Our mission: to organize, deodorize, anti-bacterialize, de-dustifize and anything else -ized. The best event was window washing. Landon led the team with his expertise on using Windex. Needless to say, team Palmer won a gold medal equaling fun times at an indoor water park. Team-mate Erin had too much school responsibilities to participate much, so Landon and I decided to invite him to come with us to the water park for his birthday. This was Erin's birthday weekend at Red Jacket Mountain Inn in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Our hotel and sunset seen from our porch. Landon woke up the following morning and said he wanted some "alone" time out on the porch. Don't know why--must've been too cooped up this winter.

Erin looks like a perfect dad. I look like their older sister. Sheesh!

Landon was playing the "Boombas" aka drums

Taylor got used to the water park about 30 minutes before we left.

One of the highlights (mostly for the boys) was the arcade.

We celebrated Erin's 35th birthday when we got home. We also got a surprise package in the mail. It didn't say who it was from and we weren't expecting it, so Erin wanted to send it back. I said "why not?" And this is what he pulled out...

...a popcorn maker (for camping) and a hat. We were laughing so hard. Who would send such random, but great birthday gifts? Only one person--Erin's dad. Thanks!!
