Tape and the Recycle Bin

All you need, really, to keep a kid busy is masking tape and a recycling bin full to the brim with boxes and plastic containers. Mixed, of course, with anything else that can be found around the house. Here are Landon's inventions. He literally spends every waking moment he has in the playroom "inventing." To me the room looks like a tornado hit, but to him, it's an amazing new world that he has created. I don't dare try to clean it up ( I wouldn't anyway--that's his job!).

This is a tugboat/submarine. At one time there was a little army dude inside. We have yet to give it a whirl in the tub.

A rocket ship. It also at one time had a handful of toy bulldozers, cement trucks, backhoes.
All, of course, to build a city in space.

This is a guy. Notice the "eyes" in the second picture. Yes, they are taped onto
a sleeping mask.

Here he is in all his glory.

Man, my son is cool!!!

Georges Island

At the end of August we went on a ferry to the Boston Harbor Islands. We only visited Georges Island. We toured Fort Warren. It's huge and you can explore throughout most of it. I don't know if Landon and Taylor liked the ferry or the fort more.

Light Breeze

At dinner Landon always asks Erin to tell him a story. So tonight's dinner time story was about when Erin went to the hospital for his appendectomy.
They gave him his hospital gown.
He strips down and put's the sexy number on.
With the ties in back.
A nurse comes in.
He asks where the bathroom is.
She gives him some vague directions.
Erin gets up and leaves his room in search of the bathroom.
A while later, with no luck finding the bathroom he sits down to rest.
On a surprisingly cold bench.
Male doctor walks up to him.
Male Doctor: "Excuse me, but I'm the only male on this floor and you might want to cover up a bit more."
Erin: "What do you mean. I am covered up."
Male Doctor: "Well, all the ladies keep looking at you and whispering."
Erin stands up.
Feels a nice breeze upon his buttocks.
Realizes his little bum-bum has been hanging out the last 10 minutes on his stroll to the bathroom.
He confidently walks back to his room past the nurses.
Puts on another robe on top of his other one.
This time with the ties in front.
We all had a good laugh at dinner tonight.
