I'm done crying about the first day of school. Landon, however, is not. It's been a tough transition, but my tears have dried up and I'm taking it like a real woman. I tell him to buck up and face his fears. He has and he's winning--we all are.
For the last month and a half, Taylor has been on the naughty list. But she is now back to the top of my favorite persons list. Today I started to say, "Taylor, you know why you are so great?" And without missing a beat or even looking up from her lunch she said "Because I smell like flowers and I'm so beautiful."
Audra is loud. She talks loud, she whispers loud, she sings loud. I could listen to her sing forever. She is a temporary member of the naughty list, but hasn't quite made permanent membership because she's so blasted cute.
Erin's my man. Oh, how we love that we get to see him. We see him before work, we see him at lunch, we see him afterwork, we eat dinner with him, he helps put the kids to bed, and then I still get time with him after the kids are asleep. He's a busy guy trying to organize and train new dental assistants at work, trying to organize church stuff, trying to organize our house, and coach soccer all at the same time. He's awesome! And he's got a tan--woo-hoo!
The ball under my shirt keeps getting bigger and bigger and should be popping out in the next few weeks. We have yet to even think about naming this one.
Here's what we've been doing:
Cocock's Nail Salon
Girls night out we went to Cocock's. Best foot/leg massage ever.
I've never had nail art. They did cranes and flowers.
American Village
We can walk across the street from our home to American Village. It has lots of little shops
and restaurants and live performers and the beach. And a little ice cream place
with the best ice cream.
Rain Storm #1
The new family on the block and we're already jumping in
rain puddles in our underwear. By the way, when a rain
comes through it is awesome. It's torrential for a short period--enough to enjoy--and
then it's sunny again.
2010 Typhoon
We were on lock-down in preparation for the typhoon. It was very
exciting as we anticipated the worst. But our hopes were dashed as the
storm went north and ripped apart that part of the island instead.
Our awesome friends came over and brought most of their house, since
we didn't have anything but couches. So the boys played wii...
...possibly the whole time...
and the girls played dress-ups...
and games. Thanks S family! We had a blast!
Sunset Beach
This is the beach we can walk across the street to. This was a couple
Friday's ago. We just headed there right after Erin walked home from work.
Unfortunately, they were preparing for a storm and didn't allow any swimming--the kids still
had fun though.
Landon dug tunnels and...
...the girls made beds.
Audra tried to make a bed by herself...
...and sweet Tay came over to play the mommy

Megan! I've been thinking about you lately, wondering how you were doing. I've struggled with the school transition too, I totally understand. It sounds like Japan has some awesome perks! How nice it must be to have Erin around more! I'm glad I can still peek into your life even though your a million miles away!
Oh, your life looks so awesome there Megan! I want to move next door. seriously. We miss you guys. Charlie is STILL obsessed with Landon...and it's been a long time, he should be over it by now!
Hope you're feeling well. We miss you. Oh, I already said that.
by the way, awesome pictures.
It looks so beautiful there! What an amazing experience for your family. So glad you get to see more of Erin. Thinking of you often and I can't wait to hear about that new baby! Hugs.
